What is a halo?

A HaLo — or Hardware-Locked smart contract — is a specialized, secure NFC chip that can be coupled with a smart contract.

HaLo's are physical-digital objects that are irrevocably linked to each other cryptographically. Authenticate an art piece against an NFT, or airdrop governance tokens through your merch. Anyone with a smartphone can scan the HaLo via NFC to see or claim the associated crypto asset.
